Beretta 92FS Description:
In short, the Beretta 92FS has been setting the standard for top military and police tactical pistols for over a quarter century. Designated the M9 by the US military and current sidearm in service for the US military and countless law enforcement agencies, the 92FS is as accurate, reliable, and durable as semi-automatic handguns come.
Also, the Beretta 92FS is a DA/SA pistol that employs an open-slide, short-recoil delayed locking-block system, which yields a faster cycle time and delivers exceptional accuracy and reliability. The chrome-lined barrel is extremely corrosion resistant, so it is easy to clean. Also, the lightweight frame is made from extremely strong aircraft-quality aluminum alloy that is anodized and matches the stainless steel slide, barrel, and key component parts. The 92FS also features a reversible magazine release to accommodate both left and right-handed shooters, as well as an ambidextrous safety/de-cocker. In addition, the visible loaded chamber indicator can add safety by touch.
In addition, the 92FS comes with a variety of features to promote usability and longevity of the firearm. The magazine release is reversible for left-handed operators and the de-cocker/safety lever come ambidextrous on the slide. Also, each 92FS is built on a forged, aircraft-grade light aluminum frame and coated with Beretta’s exclusive Bruniton to provide a matte, no-glare finish and superior corrosion and wear resistance. Moreover, the 92FS comes complete with a visual and tactile chamber indicator and checkering on the hammer, grip, and trigger guard. In short, no detail was too small or overlooked in the development of one of the world’s most popular pistols.
